Also: is the only difference between C!Stephen!Verse and this one the two leads' genders? Cos I was just thinking that, if O'Reilly is a woman, she can't very well be Mama Bear because female bears are actually good mums.

Lol, I have no idea. There are some 'verses in which Joan and Stephanie are the only ones flipped; some in which Joan is female but Stephen is male; some in which Stephanie is female but Joan is male; some in which every person in the world is flipped (and so are the ideas about gender roles, i.e. Stephanie believes that men should go back in the kitchen where they belong).

I suppose this particular comic must be a 'verse where most people are the same gender as they are in ours, because of Stephanie's similar expectations about gender roles. So, yeah, O'Reilly is probably still male. But that doesn't mean there aren't 'verses out there with Mama Bears...
